Candidate FAQs
 Can I search the current jobs without being registered?
A Yes you can search for jobs but you have to register and add your CV if you want to apply for a job. This is free of charge.
Why do I need to register?
A When you register, your details are saved for you to use when you apply for a job that you find on jobs4mining. This makes the application process very easy for you - once you click on the Apply link, your application and CV are sent directly from the website.
How can I receive jobs by e-mail?
A When you register you will be asked if you wish to receive e mail alerts . Select the category that suits you and you will be notified when new jobs are posted in that category.
What happens if I need to ask some more questions?
A The Jobs4mining team is here to provide all the assistance you need. Please contact us and we will gladly answer any questions you may have.
How can I update my CV?
A When you have entered your CV on the Jobs4Me page, your details are saved. If you wish to add a new CV you click on My CV in your account and scroll down to Browse and add the new one. This replaces any previous CV. You can also edit any other information you selected in your registration.
How long will my CV remain active?
A Currently, your CV is active indefinitely. No clients will have access to it unless you apply for a job so you are always in control. We would advise you to keep your CV up to date this will ensure that the search engine has the best possible chance of matching you to the jobs that are posted on the site.
Once I have found the right job, how can I stop receiving jobs by e-mail?
A This is in your control, you can switch this service on or off from your account. Login with your username and password and click on jobs by e mail in your account and select "disable" to switch off.
CV confidentiality, how is this handled?
A We do not allow database searching so noone can see your CV until you apply for a job, when it will be sent with your applcation. This means you are in control of your information.
How much will it cost me the candidate?
A We do not charge candidates. You can search, register and apply for jobs free of charge.
Is Jobs4mining linked to a recruitment agency?
A No, Jobs4mining is an independent private company and is not linked to any clients or organisations
Who will see my CV?
A You are in control of your CV and this is only sent to employers when you apply for a job. Unlike many jobs boards, we do not allow anyone to search our database.
Will my contact details be visible?
A Your contact details are not visible unless you apply for a job.
Should I register as a Candidate?
A If you want to apply for jobs advertising on www.jobs4mining.com then you should register as a CANDIDATE. You will be asked to upload your CV at the end.
Does Jobs4mining charge for their service.
A We do not charge Candidates for our service. You can register and apply for jobs free of charge.
Do Jobs4mining charge to advertise a job?
A Yes we charge a fee for advertising. Please contact us to find out more about our services.
WILL WE BE ASKED TO MAKE A PAYMENT?
A No advertiser should ask you for money. We do not believe genuine companies ask for payment for administration, processing of visas, medical references or contribution to travel to the project. Please inform us if someone asks you for money and forward the email.
Can we give you more information about a job?
A We only have the same information you see advertised on jobs4mining. The company who are recruiting, provide us with the advertising information only. If you need to have more information, we suggest click APPLY and use the cover letter facility to state that you would like more information before being put forward for the post.
You want to UNSUBSCRIBE from job alerts.
A You can email us on info@jobs4mining.com or you can do it yourself. You log in first and click on the orange button JobsByEmail. Click disable.
My CV will not upload.
A It should be a simple Word document with text or compatible file. The file might be too big. A sensible size is about 50 - 70 Kb. We ask you to restrict the size because professional recruiters are downloading CVs hundreds of CVs regularly. They will abandon a file that takes several minutes. To make an initial assessment of a candidate, they need basic information. So no photos, images, certificates please. You will be asked for this information later.
What is a CV?
A In some parts of the world it is know as a resume. It is a document that you compile with your contact information, educational background and qualifications and your experience.

How much will it cost me the client?
A We charge companies and recruiters to post jobs on the Jobs4mining site. For further details and exact costs please contact the Jobs4mining team who will be happy to help. Please contact us and we will contact you to discuss your requirements and advise costs.
Can I search the candidate database?
A We assure candidates of confidentiality when they register so you cannot search the database. This encourages candidates to register with us. However, you effectively search when you post a job because candidates registered in the same category receive alerts telling them about the new job. They then apply directly to you if they are interested.
What happens if I need to ask some more questions?
A The Jobs4mining team is here to provide all the assistance you need. Please contact us and we will gladly answer any questions you may have.
Is Jobs4mining linked to a recruitment agency?
A No, Jobs4mining is an independent private company and is not linked to any clients or organisations.
How long will a job remain active?
A Jobs are usually posted for 1 month however you may wish to advertise for longer. This is entirely up to you and we can quote for 1 month or longer on request.
Do the candidates contact details remain confidential?
A Candidates data is confidential and only released when they apply for a vacancy. The application you receive will contain their contact details and CV.
Should I register as an Employer?
A If you want to advertise a job vacancy or find out more about advertising a job vacancy then you should register as an Employer.
