The Technical Expert, Mill Operations will provide expertise and assist SAG Mill Operations General Superintendent to plan, manage, organize and monitor all SAG Mill Operations, auxiliary, and special project activities. Support the production at SAG Mill to meet the departmental and company target along with meeting the quality standards in a safe and environmental manner.

Requirements

• Bachelors (S1) degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, Mineral Process Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical discipline with minimum 10 years practical experience.
• Excellent Metallurgy and Mineral Processing knowledge.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to choose appropriate communication method for situation.
• Proficient in MS Office software.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Highly focused on customer service.
• Strong ability to organize, analytical thinking, identify and problem solve
• Experience working with a culturally diversified workforce.
• Strong knowledge of Concentrating Division.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Additional responsibilities:

1. Provide expertise to monitor and control operation of SAG Mill concentrators to produce copper and gold concentrates, which meet the quality and quantity standards set by the company in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
2. Provide expertise to monitor and control section's operating and capital budgets to ensure that all expenditures achieve desired outcome within approved budget.
3. Provide input and expertise for relevant plant expansions and modifications in coordination with managers, which are accomplished in a timely manner.
4. Provide expertise to stay abreast of new relevant technology and opportunities that improve productions, quality, cost, safety and environmental performance implement in a timely manner.
5. Provide engineering, processing, metallurgical and management expertise for the training of National employees.
6. Promote safety and environmental awareness to all employees in SAG Mill Operations Department to minimize accidents and environmental damage.
7. Assist to develop and implement Training and Development programs to improve employee's skill levels, percentage of national employee in management and professional positions. Increase ratio of national supervisors to the workforce, number of management levels, skill flexibility, counterpart program and accountability for roles and responsibility.
