The Technical Expert, Concentrating Operations will provide advance expertise and technical support related to integrated Mill Operations activity. Optimum technical solutions, support of maximizing copper and gold production in salable/ shippable concentrates targeted by the company must be ensured. All variables must be met within the budget and completed in safe, timely and environmentally friendly manner.
Requirements
• Bachelor's (S1) degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, Mineral Process Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical discipline with a minimum of twelve (12 )years practical experience.
• Expertise knowledge level of Metallurgy & Mineral Processing.
• Ability to manage long-term projects and provide comprehensive analysis for operations improvement.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. (Fluency in English required.)
• Intermediate level MS Office software skills.
Additional responsibilities:
1. Monitor and control the operation of all concentrators; providing expertise recommendations that will produce copper and gold concentrates that will meet the quality and quantity standards set by the company.
2. Strategize a department plan that will implement concise operating and capital budgets. Ensure all expenditures result in the desired outcome and do not exceed the approved amounts. Conduct preliminary budgeting preparation for future department projects.
3. Provide expert technical, engineering, processing, and management insight to increase staff development. In addition, conduct formal on the job training and create a leadership and counterpart program to enhance personnel capability within the Mill Operations department.
4. Contribute expertise advice to the Mill plant expansions and modifications process.
5. Identify and share new technology processes that can improve production, quality, cost, safety and environmental performance.
6. Promote safety & environmental awareness to all Mill Operations employees, so to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
