The Technical Expert, Support Equipment Maintenance will monitor, review and analyze assigned machinery, equipment repair and maintenance. Oversee all relevant maintenance activities to achieve reliable equipment, increase availability and unit cost to be conducted in an efficient, effective and timely manner in compliance with international standard for providing excellent equipment performance to support company operation's goals and target.
Requirements
Bachelors (S1) degree in mining/mechanical/electrical and/or structural background, with up to 5 years experience on a wide range of assigned equipment.
• Or, diploma with ten years experience in assigned equipment.
• Proficient Computer in diagnostics.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance system.
• Experience in training and teaching a culturally diversified workforce.
• Leadership and supervisory skill.
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience with cost and financial analysis.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Additional responsibilities:
1. Conduct daily physical inspection of assigned equipment used by operation to ensure safety procedures are carried out.
2. Conduct daily monitoring and controlling activities of assigned equipment to ensure the status of the equipment is up to date. Organize backlogs with Managers in the department for machinery repair/maintenance and spare parts to ensure all equipment performance achieves the requirements and the backlog is not delayed.
3. Provide technical instructional support to national employees for relevant maintenance activities as guidance to ensure all work complies with international standard, completed in safe manner, within budget, and on schedule.
4. Maintain working conditions in the field in order to implement the standard operational procedures accordingly.
5. Provide recommendation and implementation for any problem solving solutions in the field.
6. Conduct and analyze a fault diagnostic for all repairs, maintenance activities and develop systems. Improvement on predictive maintenance program, aligned with On the Job Training in order to provide a proper and continuous handling of machinery problems as well as to ensure application of preventive maintenance.
7. Review all special project progress in order to ensure the achievement of projects objectives are according to company's policies and procedures.
8. Work with department managers to review weekly maintenance plan, i.e., schedules, machinery usage, repairs, maintenance backlogs and manning issues in order that proper maintenance practices are carried out.
9. Develop written programs, train, coach and mentor mechanics to enhance their skills, knowledge and capability to an acceptable high standard.
10. Provide expertise on developing any required facilities (e.g., fuel station, truck wash bay, shop support, etc.) to ensure it’s within compliance.
11. Present professional advice and recommendations in regards to leadership and supervisory roles (i.e. manpower management, work arrangement, job assignment) in order to promote supervisory skill of national employees.
12. Implement safety standards and procedures within work area to minimize accident and damage.
