The General Superintendent, Concentrating Capital Equipment and Planning will plan, prioritize, and manage the capital expenditure on equipment supporting the Concentrating Division, inclusive of new plant modifications for treating the future ores.
Additional responsibilities:
1. Ensure safety and environmental standards for the Division are complied with.
2. Provide capital spending oversight on equipment to support the new processing requirements.
3. Respond to needs of department manager/division VP and provide technical support as required on projects for the division.
4. Interface with Corporate Engineering on capital equipment specifications and requirements along with discussions with vendors and suppliers.
5. Interface with Concentrating Division maintenance personnel to ensure that existing equipment and spare parts are compatible with future equipment to the extent practical.
6. Liaison with the CSE and CS groups to ensure that Concentrating projects are handled in a manner which brings projects to completion on time and under budget.
7. Liaison with the Materials Management group to ensure that the logistics and material handling issues for equipment are addressed such that delivery of equipment to site happens on time and undamaged.
8. Provide oversight on the mobile equipment specifications and purchase, including AFE generation as applicable.
9. Provide Project Management on multiple projects for the division as required.
10. Assist in the creation and management of the long term division capital spending plan.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s (S1) degree in Engineering or related field with an excess of five (5) years experience in Project Management with an emphasis on milling or similar operations.
• Project Management experience and background sufficient to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Logistics comprehension and management.
• Ability to interpret long term mine plans with the relationship to current and future processing equipment requirements.
• Ability to supervise human resources and provide guidance on personnel management as it relates to capital equipment purchasing and management.
• Ability to manage long-term and short-term projects.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Proficient computer skills, with an emphasis on project scheduling software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Proven ability in working with a culturally diversified workforce.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Highly proactive and achievement oriented.
• Highly focused on customer satisfaction.
