Job Code : Project Director /231 Senior Project Geologist– major iron ore project

$180k - $240k USD tax free
West African project with a UK company
FIFO from anywhere in the world
This company is a leader in the exploration and development of resources in West Africa.

You will be an achievement oriented individual with strong relationship building skills, who would thrive on the challenge of managing the Iron Ore project activities in the early stages of this massive project

Reporting to the President of Iron Ore division from the London head office, you will draw on your strong understanding of Iron Ore geology. You will generate and secure Iron Ore opportunities based on geological data interpretation.

Some of the responsibilities
* The design, implementation & interpretation of approved exploration programmes
* The supervision and development of exploration staff
* The supervision of technical consultants and contractors
* Liaison with local & governmental departments
* Regular communication with the London office

Skills required:
* 10+ years industry experience
* 5+ years experience in Iron Ore exploration
* Feasibility study experience
* Management of large exploration projects
* Strong people management
* Experience with setting and forecasting budgets
* Degree qualified
* Sound project management skills
* Computer savvy

The facilities are world class with 47 expats at camp which is a 30 minute helicopter ride out of the capital.
