Senior Environmental Consultant- West Africa

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant for their operations in West Africa

Responsibilities:
- Manage legislative issues applicable to the country and maintain an awareness of how legislation impacts projects
- Detailed assessment of data through the use of software-modelling packages
- Identify and consider the potential contaminant sources, critical pathways and receptors that could potentially have an adverse impact on the immediate and wider environment
- Complete detailed scientific reporting based on findings, written in a manner that can be understood by non-technical people
- Conduct field surveys which include collecting data to establish a baseline condition for levels of pollution or contamination for a site or area of consideration
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships

Requirements:
- Post graduate degree in Environmental Management
- 4-5 years’ experience in Environmental Management or consulting
- Must have experience within the mining industry
- Previous experience within a managerial position highly advantageous
- Must speak English and French
- Must be willing to travel
