The Superintendent, Ore Flow Operations will lead a significantly large group of educational professionals. He or she will be accountable and responsible for implementing a broad range of "on the job/off the job" competency based learning and assessment programs to a culturally diverse workforce. The individual in this role will support QMS Values and PTFI SHE policies; thereby contributing to the overall department and divisional team efforts.
Additional responsibilities:
1. Implement QMS Values, QMS policies and procedures, PTFI SHE policies and procedures, lead by example in order to be a role model for all colleagues, direct reports and development program participants.
2. Demonstrate expert competence in the principles, application and design of competency based learning programs so that all development programs delivered and assessed meet CBD standards.
3. Professionally design, evaluate and deliver/facilitate a range of on and off the job Competency Based Development programs, in order to meet PTFI customer development needs and quality standards.
4. Design, create, evaluate, and review a range of competency based learning materials so that learning programs delivered achieve their intended learning outcomes.
5. Design, create, and implement competency based assessment tools, ensure that all on and off the job competency assessments are professionally conducted in order to ensure all assessment and quality standards are met.
6. Design, review, and communicate learning program delivery and assessment schedules. Ensure that all schedules are implemented in such a way to ensure those programs are delivered as planned and meet customer requirements.
7. Implement all aspects of the company learning management system, ensure all participant learning and assessment data/results are accurately recorded and reported so that participant records are consistently kept up to date and accurately recorded.
8. Seek and respond to customer learning and assessment requirements, provide customer with competent advice and support regarding the wide range of QMS services and products, in order to assist QMS meet/exceed customer expectations.
9. Develop the technical and instructional competence of all employees within the group, particularly instructional employees, ensuring that they effectively deliver and assess competency based learning programs offered by the group.
10. Lead a medium size group within a larger QMS Section, ensures that group delivers professional competency based learning and assessment services according to the section strategic plan, within the section budget, meeting the section deliverable timelines in order to meet/exceed the customer annual employee competency percentage improvement targets.
11. Manage a range of equipment/facility improvement projects and competency based learning projects so that these projects are completed to standard, on time and within budget.
12. Contribute to the creation of the section annual Strategic Plan and Budget in consultation with the General Superintendent and customers to help ensure that section services and products support department and customer efforts to continually improve SHE performance and productivity.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree (S1) with eight (8) years directly related work experience of which 3 years has been spent working in a senior supervisory role.
• Demonstrated technical competence at a minimum standard of a master tradesperson or similar, supported by at least ten 10 years directly related work experience, of which 3 years has been spent working in a senior supervisory role.
• Formal Workplace Training and Assessment qualifications (at a minimum level of Certificate 4) in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of competency based learning programs with at least 5 years directly related educational administration experience.
