Provide a safe workplace for all employees, customers and stake holders. Do no harm to the environment. Manage team performance and effectiveness with regards to planned objectives, cost control, equipment reliability and customer satisfaction. Develop local personnel to become independent of expatriate support through short and long term methods.

Key Accountabilities and Challenges

· Operate within and observe all relevant and applicable laws of Panama

· Through personal standards, maintain an emphasis on safety, environmental responsibility and operational responsibility

· Develop and implement best practice maintenance program for mobile equipment.

· Implement and coordinate equipment condition monitoring program for mobile and fixed equipment.

· Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting as applicable to this level of responsibility.

· Foster and promote a continuous improvement mind set, leading and supporting where required.

· Provide guidance and support with the ERP system aligning with the planning and reporting requirement.

· Develop standard work procedures for the maintenance team to ensure effective service delivery.

· Provide technical support for the team on how to correctly and efficiently maintain mobile equipment.

· Liaise and collaborate with key users in other departments to share knowledge, align system design and agreed operating standards used within the mine site.

· Develop training programs for the maintenance team including technical, safety, environmental and behavioural aspects

· Promoting a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable safety standards.

· Identify, participate in and promote continuous improvement processes

· Implement FQM Way culture across the team - "Smarter, Bolder, Driven, Together"

· Liaising with peers and colleagues to enable the above

· Know and comply with the Safety and Occupational Health Regulations in Mining, Internal Work Rules, Code of Ethics and Conduct, Loss Prevention Manual.

· The responsibilities described above are the main responsibilities of the position. The position also develops other activities that are not included in this document and the immediate supervisor is in charge of transmitting them.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

· Education & Experience:

· A Tertiary Qualification in an Engineering and/or Trade Certificate.

· 10+ years industry experience in a maintenance leadership role.

· Knowledge of working planning and scheduling, equipment availability and preventative maintenance processes.

· Knowledge of JD Edwards desirable.

· Experienced in the use of maintenance management systems.

· Language

· English or Spanish.

· Working knowledge of both is well regarded.
