Vice President of Exploration | $220,000 USD + Excellent Benefits | Vancouver with Travel

The Vice President, Exploration, will work closely with the CEO and COO on the Company’s strategic exploration plans. The successful candidate must have a proven record of evaluation to successful transition into mine and understand mid-tier complex geology.
This senior position is based in Vancouver with global travel.

The position encompasses the leadership role on all exploration matters within the Company, including as technical advisor to the COO.

Primary Responsibilities:
Implementing and overseeing the exploration and resource definition programs for the Company’s projects
Preparing and managing the exploration plan and budget and ensure the Company achieves its exploration goals within budget and on time
Work closely with operations teams in resource/reserve definition for mine planning
Ensuring compliance with all governmental obligations and legislations and ensure all appropriate environmental, mining and exploration permits are in place and up to date
Assisting in due diligence review efforts by third party mineral resource experts or in-house experts of projects under consideration for acquisition or development.
Interpreting and analyzing the results of drilling and other geological and geotechnical information to develop geologic models and mineralization theories, delineate current and future exploration targets, and evaluations of mining reserves/resources in the areas under exploration.

Candidate Profile:
Undergraduate or advanced degree in Geology
Experience in the field in North America, South America, Asia and/or Africa
15+ years of relevant experience within the mining industry, including at least five years in an upper management role
Qualified Person under the terms of NI 43-101
Proven track record of successfully leading and guiding an exploration team
Willingness to travel and spend a considerable amount of time in the field
