Description

Under general direction plan, organize, manage and control the Global Supply Chain (GSC) programs and systems for an assigned site.

• Provide a high level of customer service to site leadership team(s), acting as a liaison between site GSC and customers
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers by having a high level of understanding of their area of the business
• Manage a staff of supervisors over multi-functional teams servicing site requirements
• Coordinate with site Manager, Supervisors and Shared Services to identify root cause and sustainably solve problems
• Manage change with customers, providing continuous education on business practices and expectations
• Direct, develop, and monitor Global Supply Chain policies and practices for the site
• Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for the GSC department
• Drive/manage change based on KPIs/SLAs/Data
• Provide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable programs, practices and policies
• Provide leadership and work direction, and evaluate the performance of subordinate staff
• Participate in the development, communication, and training of supply chain processes and strategies
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience in Global Supply Chain including (5) years in the mining industry, including three (3) years in a supervisory or management capacity; OR
• High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience in the mining industry, including (5) years directly interfacing with supply chain, including three (3) years in a supervisory or management capacity; OR
• Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in Global Supply Chain or mining industry, including three (3) years supervisory or management experience; OR
• Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience in Global Supply Chain, including three (3) years supervisory or management experience

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree
• Five (5) years of experience in Global Supply Chain

• Five (5) years of experience in the mining industry

• Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience

• Medium to high competency utilizing SAP

• Medium to high competency utilizing Power BI

• Medium to high competency utilizing Business Objects

Criteria/Conditions

• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English 
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards 
• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment 
• Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ 
• Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator 
• Occasionally work may be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
