(This position will be located in Brisbane, Australia)

This position will be located at the International Purveyor’s Inc. (IPI) Brisbane office.  Position reports to Site Manager supporting PT Freeport Indonesia’s (PTFI) copper and gold mining operations in Papua, Indonesia.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties in line with company’s safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the delivery of outbound rotable cores to ensure the delivery lead-time is achieved.
  • Maintain and enhance working relationship with offsite vendors.
  • Maintain and enhance good communication with onsite customers, SCM rotable team, shipping, expediting and export-import.
  • Ensure components are quoted by vendor and approved by SCM rotable team in timely manner.
  • Manage all offsite administration processes related to the rotable program.
  • Prepare and publish supplier performance reports.
  • Liaise with vendors to assure best pricing, warranty coverage and MDR processes.
  • Monitoring and record tracking data to improve processing times (TAT).
  • Intensive review of non-moving parts to support rotable component programs.
  • Review all capital equipment purchases and provide feedback to purchasing director.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring the most efficient and effective logistics and SCM strategies for the rotable centered business.
  • Develop strategic partnership with suppliers, SCM on site and customers, creating communication channels for critical information and operational improvements.
  • Manage rotable components life cycles.
  • Achieve alignment with overall company strategies with supply strategies.
  • Provide advice on rotable and major component inventory, inclusive of storage holding conditions and quality of inventory, (Readiness for Service).
  • Review customer demand and forecasts to ensure pipeline is sufficient.
  • Further enhance the IPI team in Australia and SCM team on site with proven technical expertise.
  • Provide technical knowledge in evaluating the number of rotables required to support equipment in service.
  • Assist in monitoring the Agility warehouse team on rotable and other inbound / outbound activities.
  • Manage the process of Australian equipment procurement to the customer (carry out as required, vendor/OEM visits to ensure compliance to purchased specifications).
  • Assist in the management of how rotable costs are balanced against service.
  • Continually analyze rotable and major component inventory holdings based on the amount of equipment in service.
  • Regularly analyze on site rebuild programs V’s off-site exchange programs to determine the most cost effective method.
  • Monitor rotable payment terms, invoices and budgets to ensure all have a positive correlation.
  • Manage Australian supplier relationships and control associated business process, visit suppliers as required to enhance relationships.
  • Conduct regular Microsoft Teams meetings with relevant SCM team members and suppliers.
  • Head up conflict negotiations meetings with relevant company departments and supply vendors.
  • Be prepared to visit site regularly to meet with SCM team members and customers.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years working in a mining environment.
  • Mining maintenance knowledge.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Good interpersonal communication (written and verbal).
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Strong business sense that complements challenging negotiations.
  • Cost management skills.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills (thinking outside the box).
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge to carry technical conversations and negotiations.
  • Ability to leave emotions outside of negotiations.
  • Report writing and skills with Microsoft Excel to maintain databases.
