Description: 

Provide guidance and technical expertise to assist a team of national counterparts in executing and managing the maintenance requirements of the oreflow systems. The incumbent will insure that the right work is done to a high standard, that maintenance plans are developed and implemented and that a culture of continuous learning and improvement is cultivated. The outcome will be a safe operation with high reliability and production achievement delivered by a skilled professional and national team.

Additional responsibilities:

1.           Ensure safe and environmentally responsible maintenance work in the Ore Flow team. Assist in the implementation and sustainability of SHE improvement initiatives

2.           Working with the planning group to optimize maintenance plans and develop high quality job packs to assist the team in delivering consistent and professional maintenance

3.            Provide assistance, advice and recommendations to the Maintenance Superintendent to help achieve Divisional KPIs.

3.           Provide assistance, advice and recommendations to the Maintenance Superintendent on conducting and completing Corrective Action Team investigations into maintenance failures.

4.           Assist Superintendents in the definition of skills expectations for oreflow maintainers, training materials and competency assessments including practical observations of the maintainers.

5.            Identify and analyze breakdowns, assist with and direct team on repairs as needed to complete repair and subsequent root cause identification and remediation plan development.

6.           Provide assistance, advice and recommendations to the Maintenance Superintendent on the management of personnel and their development.

7.           Provide assistance, advice and recommendations to the Maintenance Superintendent on the management of contractors.

Qualifications

  • Trade Qualification in a mechanical area, with at least fifteen (15) years of experience in diverse Industrial/Mining environments, of which at least five (5) years are in underground mining and the maintenance of crushers and conveyors and all their associated systems and components.
