Our client, a large integrated, international mining group is ramping up construction at one of their most exciting projects in Latin America.

Based on a mine site but in close proximity to a thriving city, this expatriate position offers the chance to make a significant impact on a project by overseeing all camp facilities, enabling the candidate to put their own stamp on how to run a camp efficiently.

Reporting to the SVP of Projects and the Director of Construction, this position will be responsible for:

• Design and implementation of a safety and security plan.
• All camp supplies including negotiations with contractors for catering, accommodation, facility maintenance, etc.
• Development of budgets with particular attention to cost control, staffing and infrastructure requirements.
• Vendor management for all supplies including logistics tracking.
• Safe delivery of all food services.
• Room bookings/accommodations and global mobility for all site personnel.
• Maintenance and sanitation of all camp common areas and accommodation.
• Meeting the daily headcount cost/budget goals for delivery of services.
• Recruiting and training personnel to meet department requirements.
• Monitoring camp premises and carrying out preventive and emergency maintenance.

The successful candidate will be a proven large scale Camp Manager with a strong working knowledge of health codes, budgeting, building relationships, planning and logistics, building services and maintenance.

This is an outstanding opportunity with a generous package. We can consider either FIFO or residential, allowing for both balance and reward.
