Through the execution of work programs and the interpretation of results, both directly and indirectly through supervision of other staff and contractors, actively contribute to the discovery and delineation of mineral resources in the Beatty District.

• Carry out exploration activities primarily RC and diamond drilling on advanced stage exploration projects, geological mapping and geochemical sampling programs.
• Provide interpretations derived from the datasets collected and provide recommendations aligned with company objectives and strategies.
• Work closely with peers, and assist the senior geologist(s) and Geology Manager in the planning and scheduling exploration activities around Beatty.
• Prepare timely, accurate and detailed reports, maps, plans and sections.
• Supervise contractors in the field to implement the plans in a safe and sustainable manner. Ensure that work is completed in accordance with the Company and regulatory requirements and standards.
• Assist in project appraisals, critically assess data for accuracy and quality and make objective assessments on exploration potential.


 BSc or higher (preferred) in a Geoscience-related degree.
 Valid driver’s license and proficiency in operating 4WD vehicles.
 First aid certification required but can be undertaken after employment.
 A minimum of 2+ years of experience in exploration and within the gold sector.
 Experience in epithermal, porphyry, and/or Carlin mineralization styles is preferred.

Technical Competencies:
 Proficient in a wide range of exploration practices and techniques, including geochemistry, structural geology, geological mapping, GIS, sampling methods, drilling and geophysical interpretation.
 Able to apply appropriate modelling and analytical systems, tools and skills to develop an understanding of the target/deposit.

 Strong awareness of, and ability to manage, safety, health, community and environmental requirements in the workplace and at the project site.
 Performs activities with limited supervision while remaining within agreed boundaries of activities, methodologies and company policies & procedures.

 Able to collaborate well with others, and willing to act as a mentor to both peers and junior staff in areas of expertise.

This is a full-time and predominantly field based position. Rotating schedule working 8 days on, 6 days off, 10-hour workdays are typical but may be adjusted to reflect periods dedicated to office based or other non-field related activities.
