Job Description:
Our client is in need of an Electrical Engineer from an EPCM background in gold mining projects to join their team on site in West Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the electrical engineering team to safely deliver on all company operational and financial business plans during the project execution phase.
- Reviewing engineering design plans and performing complex calculations.
- Designing and constructing reliable, quality electrical systems and related components.
- Cost control.
- Analyzing technical drawings, interpreting specifications and determining the electrical requirements.
- Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects while ensuring health and safety standards and project deadlines are adhered to.
- Quality assurance on all electrical components and projects.
- Analyzing and approving various construction and engineering plans.
- Troubleshooting and problem diagnosis.
- Mentoring and training of subordinates
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Electrical Engineering Degree.
- Project Management qualification.
- Previous project management experience.
- 10 years previous experience in EPCM environments for gold mining projects.
- 5 years previous experience in operational gold mines.
- Greenfields gold process plant design and construction experience.
- Able to draft designs using CAD software.
- Computer literate in MS Office.
- Previous experience in West Africa.
- Experience mentoring and training multi-cultural teams.
