Our client, a leading global gold producer with a strong portfolio of assets, currently seeks a Human Resource Manager to join their multi-disciplinary exploration team. This company have grown at a rapid pace in recent years and demonstrated a commitment to promoting their talent in line with that growth.

The role will focus on strategic business challenges allowing the incumbent to provide workforce related insights to SVP Exploration and VP HR, in a function committed to retaining and progressing, exceptional people. 

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement site workforce plan and related budget management.
• Apply appropriate tactics and initiatives to maintain good relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ensure fair implementation of pay and rewards as well as compliance with local taxation and regulations.
• Maintain employee engagement and internal communications.
• Provide guidance, coaching and technical assistance to support the team. 
• Monitor HR policy risk. 

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in HRM, Law or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Human Resources. They will have demonstrated the ability to effectively manage, train and mentor multicultural teams in Africa. Previous experience with Sage, SAP or other HRIS will be beneficial.
