Supply Chain Sustainability Analyst: Phoenix, AZ, US, 85004-2121

Under general supervision, supports GSC Sustainability team to manage supplier risk by researching supplier information, reviewing potential alerts, and assisting in supplier assessments utilizing existing tools and systems. Assists with collecting and reporting data relevant to the Responsible Sourcing (RS) program. Utilizes existing Sustainability/Responsible Sourcing resources/information to build RS knowledge and further contribute to RS Program goals.

• Assist in assigning Compliance and Engagement Request Questionnaires and reviewing Responsible Sourcing information to evaluate new and existing suppliers based on risk. Conduct supplier research, review/investigate potential alerts and follow-up with suppliers who have not provided requested information.
• Assist with collecting, consolidating, and reporting relevant data and metrics for the global RS program.
• Work closely across teams within the Organization and with suppliers to provide training and communication on FCX Responsible Sourcing program and systems as required. Document and update process flows, SOPs and training materials as needed.
• Utilize existing resources / information to build capacity in ESG, Sustainability & RS for self and team; when needed collaborate/benchmark with external entities.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years practical work experience in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or a related field OR
• High School diploma or GED AND five (5) years experience in industrial sales office or similar work environment
• Flexible availability for international calls outside of normal office hours

Preferred Qualifications:

• Business skills/acumen relevant to the mining sector
• Prior use of SAP, Ariba SLP and Ariba Supplier Risk Management system
• Bi-lingual in Spanish (spoken & written)
• Knowledge of concepts related to sustainable procurement or supply chain sustainability
• Knowledge of relevant Sustainability topics (i.e. OECD, UN SDGs, UN Global Compact, Human Rights, etc.)
• Knowledge of supply chain policies and procedures, management strategies and concepts
• Knowledge of audit procedures
• Detailed oriented with analytical and report presentation skills
• Highly adaptable and able to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with and maintain professional interpersonal relationships with all levels of management, and key stakeholders, both domestic and international to facilitate collaborative working relationships
• Effectively take direction and work well under time constraints to accomplish business objectives
• Ability to organize work and prioritize tasks in alignment with established goals
• Proficiency in a variety of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Skill in researching and analyzing information related to vendors, contractors, applicable Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability topics
• Skill in using computer databases to research, maintain, update records and files
• Ability to create and maintain quality training and process documentation
• Ability to effectively conduct training (via on-line or in front of an audience)
• Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machines and photocopier
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Criteria/Conditions:

• Flexible availability for international calls outside of normal office hours.
• Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
• Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator. Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting.
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
