Our client, a global mining company with multiple assets, is currently looking for a Backfill and tailings Manager to commission their plant.

Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Supervision of the commissioning of a new plant.
• Evaluation and optimisation of the backfill plant designs.
• Looking after the dry stack tailings plant.
• Developing and implementing a tailing management system following international standards.
• Working alongside the Process Manager and the Maintenance Manager to optimise the output of the backfill plant.
• Providing support to the Production Department.
• Managing the backfill plant and the tailings plant.
• Mentoring and training junior staff members.

We seek a degree qualified Metallurgist/ Chemical Engineer with a minimum of 15 years’ experience managing fixed plants.
