Our client, one of the largest mineral resources companies in the world, with tens of well-performing assets across six continents, is looking for a Tax and Compliance Manager to join their large finance team in Africa. This business has a huge global presence with core focus on sustainability, responsible sourcing and talent growth.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, some of the responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly tax reports ensuring accuracy of contributions.
• Review and audit tax obligations and liaise with local authorities.
• Prepare analysis for the CFO and work closely with the Tax Director flagging and resolving issues when they arise
• Ensure invoice compliance in accordance to local legislation
• Ensure the accuracy of taxes and fees,
• Align compliance with local regulations.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Law or a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Tax Compliance and Finance within the mining industry.
