Description:
Provide guidance and technical expertise/advice in order to develop, maintain and improve maintenance planning, scheduling and reporting systems to achieve the predetermined plant availability and operational target and mining sequence set by PT. Freeport Indonesia.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Promote safety and environmental awareness for him/herself, DWP & Pipeline Maintenance Planning section, Dewatering Plant Portsite group, and also among the DWP Operations & Pipeline Maintenance Division employees in order to ensure compliances with the company safety and environmental procedures and programs.
2. Support the implementation of company's safety and environmental policies and procedures in order to ensure all works are performed in a safe manner and environmentally conscious.
3. Evaluate preventive maintenance activities to ensure the preventive maintenance is implemented in all areas according to the schedule, to minimize and/or prevent unscheduled downtime.
4. Work with Manager DWP to develop KPIs for the Maintenance Planning section to include clear job descriptions for the Planner and Assistant Planner to ensure that equipment availability is achieved from PM to PM.
5. Evaluate and control maintenance data / information entry to the SAP system to ensure that essential history is developed on all equipment.
6. Evaluate weekly and monthly maintenance planning performance reports and provide the recommendation for the improvement.
7. Develop and provide technical solution using the existing system or introducing the new system to improve the implementation of maintenance planning, scheduling and reporting methods.
8. Ensure planning systems work well to include daily review, routine task, major shutdowns, and all source readiness to include material/parts, manpower, and equipment.
9. Develop systems that ensure daily activities are well organized to include material readiness for execution to avoid plan work cancelations.
10. Work with the Maintenance Superintendent to understand the crews manpower mapping and develop systems so that manpower is effectively assigned for efficient work execution.
11. Work with the DWP Planners to plan and monitor stock usage through the warehouse system to ensure maximum utilization and availability of parts and that parts minimum/maximum is effectively managed in the warehouse.
12. Work with the DWP Planners to identify all parts in the SAP system are either still in use or are obsolete.
13. Support special project progress in order to ensure the achievement of projects’ objectives according to company’s policies and procedures.
14. Liaise with SCM group to find global suppliers and technology providers as most of the plant and equipment employs technologies not currently available within Indonesia.
15. Train, develop, coach and motivate national employees to enhance their skill, knowledge and capacity to an acceptable high standard.
16. Assist in DWP planning budget recommendations for the Superintendent. Ensure budget, forecast costs, parts availability, and overall materials management processes etc. are in line with expectations.
17. Spend time in the field providing review of job preparation, execution, and follow up. Ensure that pre-job and post-job requirements are consistently accomplished to PTFI standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering related discipline and five (5) years of experience -OR- High School/Technical school/Trade School and ten (10) years of experience in an industrial environment preferably in mining and mineral processing industries, including supervisory or leadership experience.
- Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
- Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
- Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects.
- Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration.
- In depth experience with Machines and Equipment.
- In depth experience with Methods and Techniques.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Working knowledge of principles of planning, scheduling and coordination.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a culturally diversified workforce.
- Strong computer skills.
