We currently seeking a Regional Contracts Manager to join our client, a multi asset mining company with assets all over Africa. This exciting opportunity aims to enhance their African operations by appointing a skilled Contracts Manager.

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for effectively managing multiple assets within the portfolio. Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the management of the mining contractor tender process, ensuring a streamlined and efficient selection process.
• Taking charge of schedules, technical estimation, and contract development to ensure successful project execution.
• Defining and implementing quality controls and assurance standards in mining contracts to ensure adherence to high industry standards.
• Managing the execution and reporting of contract penalties across the region, ensuring compliance and effective resolution.
• Ensuring contract deliverables are met by all involved parties, facilitating successful project outcomes.
• Conducting critical assessments of high-risk contracts, identifying potential challenges, and implementing strategic risk mitigation measures.
• Assisting in the development of rise and fall simulations and haulage profiles, contributing to optimized mining operations.
• Providing valuable support in cost analysis and reporting assessments, contributing to efficient financial management.
• Assisting with the transfer of skills and promoting nationalisation initiatives within the organization.

The successful candidate will hold a Commercial or Engineering qualification and possess a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience. Prior experience working for a mining contractor would be highly advantageous, bringing valuable insights to the position. Experience in the ECOWAS will be highly value, fluency in French is essential.
