Our client, a multinational organisation in the mining industry, currently seeks a Principal Engineer to oversee a portfolio of significant OPEX projects at their processing plant.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Principal will:

• Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, documents, etc. 
• Lead effective communication and cooperation across all engineering departments, non-technical teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee process design and implementation from start to finish. 
• Manage the development of over 10 small to medium-sized projects simultaneously (including plant modifications).  
• Run complex OPEX projects in alignment with cost-efficiency, safety and sustainability.    

The successful candidate will have obtained a degree in Engineering (Process or Chemical) and a minimum of 15 years’ experience in a modernised downstream plant, designing and coordinating multi-discipline engineering departments. Previous experience in leading multidisciplinary OPEX projects and managing multicultural teams in EPCM environments is essential.
