Title: Senior Environmental Geochemist

Our client, a leading precious metals producer with a portfolio of assets across the globe, is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Geochemist to join their Corporate HQ in Canada. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and implementation of environmental geochemical characterization studies.
- Collaborating with site management and specialist consulting services to develop scopes of work and budgets.
- Ensuring the assessment and mitigation of geochemical risks.
- Supporting operations with managing geochemical laboratory programs and interpreting data.
- Contributing to comprehensive geochemical risk assessments.
- Analysing and interpreting large geochemical datasets.
- Developing practical mineral waste and AMD management plans.
- Assisting with groundwater and surface water quality assessments.
- Conducting environmental fieldwork and sample collection.
- Preparing high-quality technical reports and presentations.
- Providing oversight and guidance to corporate and operational employees.
- Staying informed about emerging information and trends in geochemical management practices.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree in Geology, Geochemistry, or a similar field, a minimum of six years’ relevant experience with exposure to international mining operations. They will also be highly proficient in geochemical modelling software packages.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Canada with frequent domestic and international travel (~30% of the time), with a well-regarded, growing mid-cap miner.
