Account Executive Natural Resources (Mining & Metals) EMEA
London
In this role you will be responsible for building and growing your portfolio of clients to expand business within the Natural Resources sector throughout EMEA. We expect you to have in-depth knowledge of this industry based on past experience.

Using your client-centric capabilities, you will execute business development initiatives to include development of sales strategies in order to secure long term relationships in the marketplace, driving sales and managing overall customer satisfaction. We expect you to be a team player, earning the respect of your colleagues to ensure commercial success. The role requires extensive travel and networking in order to engage potential clients.
Previous experience working for management consulting firms and extensive experience in the mining and metals sector is essential.
Experience
• Proven track record of building relationships at a CEO level
• Understanding of businesses end to end and their financial structures including P&L and Balance Sheets
• Ideally, a combination of consulting and industry experience
• Selling complex, large ticket b-b offerings, preferably non-tangible
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree , preferably MBA educated

• Executive presence, able to build rapport and an equal relationship with senior leaders (CEOs)
• Team orientation, proactive in building relationships internally and utilising resources to develop potential and existing clients, partners with colleagues and clients
• Ability to understand the organisational and political dynamics of potential clients, to identify where and with whom to build connections to aid in the sales and ongoing relationship management activities
• Comfortable and proactive in building networks externally, good social skills
• Flexibility, good insight into people and their feelings, able to read people and adapt to them, strong emotional intelligence
• Client centric, thinks of the good of the clients and how to partner with them
• A long term thinker, looks to build sustainable relationships within potential clients and to maintain these to win ongoing business for AP
• Planning skills, thinks ahead and plans for any eventuality
• Listening skills, asks more than tells and reflects back what others have said
• Strong communication skills, clear and concise and can put ideas across in a compelling and simple way
• Able to think on their feet, demonstrates good mental flexibility and an ability to come up with incisive questions as conversations progress
• Intellectually curious, proactive in learning and keeping up to date with new developments in their chosen sectors, with clients, their competitors and customers. Show thought leadership in discussions
• Commercial acumen to spot opportunities and the assertiveness and persuasiveness to close deals
• Persistent and driven, copes well with setbacks and constantly looks to deliver to targets, shows a sense of urgency and ownership for issues
• A self-starter, able to work on their own and to do things for themselves, self-reliant
• Energetic and hardworking, able to cope with considerable travel and a tough word load
• Committed and conscientious, make sure that they are well prepared and can learn quickly to be credible in a chosen sector
