To manage and oversee all preservation repairs across the area.


Location: Donoso Site: Cobre Panama

Reporting to the Materials Condition Coordinator we seek to appoint a person who will supervise all field maintenance preservation activities. The incumbent will focus on Total Quality Management (TQM), ensuring all field equipment; mechanical, electrical and instrumentation and commissioning materials, are restored to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the field repairs team, whilst ensuring compliance with storage, preservation and protection requirements of all equipment and spare components as outlined in vendor specifications
• Coordinate the field repairs and reconditioning of all existing and newly installed field equipment across all areas.
• Ensure all equipment are properly installed to ensure longevity and availability of equipment.
• Work closely with the preservation team to identify and report on regular preservation issues.
• Interfaces with Engineering and Procurement to ascertain vendor repair requirements and determine remedial actions required to repair or replace damaged equipment
• Understand the causes of damages and coordinates the repairs / reconditioning work
• Segregates materials for repair from materials for ongoing preservation and passes over custody of those items to the Preservation Team Coordinator
