Regional TAX Manager | West Africa | $Negotiable| FIFO or RESIDENTIAL | (Bilingual) French and English Speaking


We are pleased to be engaged by one of Africa’s brightest mining companies in the search for a Regional TAX Manager. This senior position seeks for a confident and experienced in management within Tax and Legal legislation's. The successful candidate must have experience within the mining industry.


Job description and role

1. It will be your role to maintain and implement all tax compliance processes that meet requirements for efficient and accurate tax calculations as well as payments. This must all incorporate different legislation of the countries which the company works in.

2. Design and maintain a tax protocol as a risk management tool to address potential cash flow impacts on the Corporation. This will include identifying the impact of all tax risks associated with Weat Africa entities which the company operates within.

3. Additionally, create an understanding of industry wide audits and highlight exposures and noncompliance of these through a dedicated country workshop/network together with the finance teams.

4. Must be able to design and implement a process of formal control during a process of Government taxation audits as well as be able to facilitate the external audit process at the various entities.

Qualifications and key skills

• At least 10 years experience within Tax
• Good level of degree or equivalent qualification
• An understanding of SYSCOA and related tax legislation experience in Francophone Africa
• An understanding of OHADA
• Good level of understanding Technical and IT systems as well as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Strong level of report writing and excellent communication.
• Highly motivated and organized self-starter.
• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse cultures.
