Are you a qualified HR Manager with extensive Industrial Relations experience on mega mining projects?

This could be the opportunity for you!

Our client is currently undertaking a major project in the DRC for the construction of a hydrometallurgical plant and associated infrastructure and is seeking qualified project personnel to join their team.

 This exciting copper-cobalt project is one of the largest in Africa and will provide employment opportunities for many experienced individuals in the industry.

The objective of the role is to achieve significant and sustainable development of individual and project/organisational performance through the co-designing of processes that support the project’s strategic objectives and ensures the delivery of all project HR requirements for through to the operational stage. 

IR will form a core focus of the role which would include Chairing and facilitate disciplinary hearings, grievances and appeals, Wage Negotiations, Union Communication.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

·         Tertiary qualification related to Human Resource Management with a Post Graduate Degree being preferred

·         An in-depth understanding of West African Labour Relations Laws (Preferably DRC)

·         Minimum of 10 - 15 years relevant experience with at least 5 of those years in a project capacity with mining experience being preferred

  • Experience in project and change management is essential
  • Experience in HR Systems and integration is essential

·         Fluency in English, preferably French and Mandarin advantageous

·         Experience in a multicultural organizations

Contractual information:

·          Single status rotational position.

·          Limited duration contract.
