DRILL & BLAST MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - WEST AFRICA

We are seeking motivated, high caliber applicants who have a proven track record in maintaining Schramm, Atlas Copco, DRA and Sandvik Drilling and Blasting and Grade Control Drill Rigs in an open pit mining environment. This unique opportunity will be based in West Africa with an immediate start to the successful applicant.

Key responsibilities include: 

·     Ensuring that the companies Drill Fleet is maintained to AMS Standards

·     Ensuring high standards of Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance on the project

·     Achievement of key KPI’s and departmental budgetary targets

·     Adherence to tender guidelines

·     Step into the Maintenance Superintendents role if/when necessary

·     Development and maintenance of good onsite relationships

·     Ensure the development of all site based personnel to ensure they reach their full potential

Preferred qualifications and experience: 

·         5 years surface drill maintenance experience

·         Grade Control drilling practices is preferred

·         A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience at Supervisory/Management level

·         Well demonstrated Planning and Supervision skills 

·         Proven leadership and team building skills

·         Well developed computer skills, word, excel

·         French Language preferred

Applicants will be flexible individuals who can work under pressure in order to meet deadlines. In addition, excellent communication skills, along with demonstrated people management skills are essential.  An attractive expatriate salary package including accommodation, travel, insurance on a 9 and 3 week roster will be offered to the successful applicant.
