Fitter Underground Trainer | West Africa | £65k (Net) + Benefits

Happy New Year to all. We are delighted to be back with a new role for a leading contractor within the mining industry.

Our client is currently seeking a Fitter Underground Trainer. Within this position we require an experienced maintenance professional with extensive experience in diagnostic fault finding on mechanical and auto electrical systems, servicing heavy mining equipment and breakdown repairs. Key to this position is such an expert who can transfer, teach and mentor nationals such skill sets. The position of Fitter, requires someone with patience and a proven track record of developing nationals whilst maintaining a high standard of Safety.

The Fitter will require a Relevant Trade Qualification.

The Role:

Strong background working with latest generation SANDVIK, CAT and Atlas underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.

At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience working within the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment.

High degree of knowledge and skill in troubleshooting problems on electric hydraulic drilling equipment.

Competent on Auto Electrics, Hydraulic Circuits and Diesel engine maintenance.

Self-starter who will work with minimal supervision.

Conditions:

The role will be based in West Africa offering an 8/4 FIFO Roster. An immediate/February start date is expected.

The Fitter Trainer will receive £65,000 (Net) + Benefits.
