This is a 1-year contract for our project in Burkina Faso: 6 weeks on/ 2 weeks off fly-in/ fly-out roster with travel on company time.

 

Summary of Role

 

This role focuses on the development of policies, procedures and processes for the preparation, evaluation, award, administration and closeout of all contracts and consultancy service agreements for the Banfora Gold Project.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·         Develop contract procedures, plans and processes

·         Ensure effective contract management and execution

·         Supervisor the Contracts team

·         Manage the administration of contracts

·         Research and select local, national and international suppliers

·         Oversee the competitive bid process

·         Develop and monitor the local procurement plan

·         Monitor and report on supplier performance and identify potential risks to the project

·         Assist in capital purchases when required

 

 

Skills and Experience Required

·         Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business or Engineering

·         A minimum of ten (10) years experience in a similar role

·         Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilising cost estimating techniques

·         High-level knowledge of contract law and contract document requirements

·         Bilingual in French and English, with well-developed written and verbal communication skills

·         Previous experience working on a remote site/location

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and CAD

·         A valid International Drivers’ Licence
