Essential tasks of the successful candidate:

* Plan and coordinate all weekly and daily mobile maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner by prioritising resources, machinery and people
* Solve daily and weekly technical and resource issues
* Ensure full and safe compliance of all maintenance activities
* Identify resource and skill gaps for team members and develop strategies to close gaps including the development of training programs
* Ensuring administrative tasks and required documentation is completed clearly and concisely within established time frames to companies standard

Key Responsibilities:

* Through personal leadership and setting clear expectations maintain an emphasis on safety, environmental responsibility and operational responsibility
* Actively monitor and manage the preventative maintenance program and conduct audits of program to ensure conformance
* Monitoring team performance shift by shift and take appropriate action to meet or exceed expectation
* Challenging and enabling your team to perform the right work, at the right time, in the right way and at the right cost
* Prioritising scheduled and un-scheduled workflow ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of the project
* Guidance on inventory planning and reviewing cycle counts and inventory levels in line with consumption and procurement strategies whilst maintaining overall responsibility for the departments control over the issuance and replenishment of spare parts and materials
* Liaising with peers and colleagues to enable the above

Desired Qualifications and Key Experience:

* 5+ years previous experience in a leadership role within Mobile / Fixed Plant environment; general labour to technical
* Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated experience in managing department Budget control and management
* Working knowledge of planning and scheduling, plant availability and preventative maintenance processes
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, team-based environment
* Strong understanding of MS Office products and knowledge of CMMS or ERP maintenance systems
* Mentoring and coaching and rolling out training and development plans
* Experience in an EXPAT environment
