Our client in Central Africa is urgently seeking a Procurement Manager for their operating mine

  • Management responsibility for the procurement function for all Operations and the Business Units. 
  • The scope of the Procurement function extends from request generation, Supplier selection, order placement and subsequent expediting of the orders for delivery.
  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy that ensures that required products and service levels are met at the lowest cost without exposing the company to legal or risks or fines. 
  • Accountable for supplier performance and influences inventory holding and inventory turn.


  • At least 8 years’ Supply Chain Management experience, of which at least 3 years should have been in a management position with overall responsibility for a logistics function.
  • Experience in the mining industry related to mining operations
  • Degree / National Diploma in Procurement (or equivalent)
  • Driver’s License. Appropriate professional registration as appropriate
  • Previous expat experience working in French speaking Africa
  • French language kills would be an advantage

Contractual information:

  • 1 year fixed term Expatriate contract
  • 90 days annual leave, 6 return flights home per year
  • Market related USD salary
