We are currently searching for an experienced IT manager, who will be able to take charge and lead the ICT department whilst ensuring sevice delivery across the Networking, Infrastructure and Help Desk areas. Herewith more about the scope of work:

Key Accountabilities:

Strategy
To create and maintain Information Technology & Management strategy in line with stakeholder needs and in keeping up with current best practice and Group roadmap

Governance
To ensure Information technology and management are in-line with agreed strategy and policy.
To ensure that policy and strategy is in compliance with Panama government legislation and standards

Development
Manage the further development and implementation of projects.
Specifically, to manage:
* The development plans for ongoing integration, upkeep and improvement of IT systems
* The commissioning of appropriate and cost effective procurement and contractual arrangements

The management of core technologies and tools within Panama
The management of project and system dependencies at planning, implementation & support stages
The sign off of all project management milestones for IT projects
Align to the Group initiatives and strategies

Implementation
To manage the day to day operations of IT systems, ensuring that planning, end-user impact, change management, training, quality management are properly addressed and monitored to ensure that deadlines, budgets and service levels are met and results delivered.

Operations

Monitor and manage the ICT environment in Panama to ensure it is healthy, functioning and performing as expected

* Maintain the hardware and software up to date as per the requirements of Group ICT
* Ensure protection is in place for the information and data for FQM Panama estate
* Accountable for the backup and recovery of the Panama infrastructure and information
* Apply, install and configure services to Group standard (unless there is a business and technical reason that would need to be revised and approved by the Group ICT Manager)

Supply Management
To manage the relationships with (and between) external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts.

Budget
To manage the annual Panama ICT budget and any associated funds for Panama. Specifically, to be responsible for the review, audit and prioritisation of all information management tools, including (in partnership with the Finance Manager) the replacement cycle of information technology hardware.

Service
To organise and implement servicing and support of all Panama First Quantum Minerals IT systems to agreed service level standards.
In particular:
* To ensure training is provided on any new information management tools
* To monitor take up and use by staff and stakeholders
* To provide remedial support where necessary;

Staff
To line manage and develop the ICT team, working with them to plan and prioritise their workloads, set objectives, conduct appraisals and supported to continually improve their performance and results.

Research
To develop and implement plans, in consultation with key stakeholders, including the Group ICT Manager to research, analyse and present solutions, services that will assist and contribute to FQM achieving its business strategy and initiatives

Business Continuity
Develop and maintain a major Incident and ICT business continuity plan for FQM Panama.
Implement measures designed to safeguard the ICT needs of the FQM Panama business in the event of major incidents.

Disaster Recovery
To develop and maintain a Disaster Recovery solution, service for all FQM business arms within Panama.
Implement measures designed to safeguard the ICT needs of the FQM Panama business in the event of major disasters.

Minimum Requirements:


* Qualification in Information Technology or equivalent role experience in senior IT management.

* At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT management roles and the ability to relate to a diverse group of peers.

* A hands-on, motivational approach with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to engage and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

* Strong planning and analytical abilities to work to tight deadlines and within constraints with drive, focus and initiative.

* Vision to perceive risks and opportunities with superior decision-making ability and capability to act on these accordingly.

* Advanced Spanish and English language skills - written and spoken.
