Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Processing Specialists to be based on site in Southern Africa. This roles will be responsible for the development of the Operations Team's capability, including direct coaching & training of operators in all aspects of processing.



·         Provide operational advice and support to the shift personnel, including addressing any deficiencies in processing knowledge

·         Provide graphite-specific advice and support to the shift personnel and management

·         Support the implementation of QA/QC standards, policies and procedures

·         Coach and mentor shift personnel to comply with all QA/QC policies and procedures

·         Coach and mentor personnel to assist with metallurgical surveys and test-work, identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and contribute to optimisation projects throughout the Processing Plant.

·         Provide technical and operational advice and support to shift personnel as required

·         Assist in the skills acquisition of the Processing Team to ensure 100% compliance at all times

·         Undertake daily work area inspections and report / rectify faults or issues to management immediately

·         Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analysis assessments on work activities as required

·         Report all Hazards, Incidents and Near Misses in line with Company policies and procedures

·         Continually monitor the plant environment to ensure the safety of yourself and other workers

·         Make improvement recommendations to the Management Team & continually increase the level of safety in the plant and other associated facilities

·         Assist in managing the safety & environmental training of the Processing Team to ensure 100% compliance at all times

·         Comply with the Company's Environmental & Social Monitoring Program and Health & Safety Management Plan requirements at all times


Requirements: Qualification and Skill

·         Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Process Engineering or equivalent

·         Experience in a similar role within the graphite processing industry.

·         Well-developed coaching & mentoring skills

·         Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members

·         Sound computer proficiency with intermediate MS Office skills & an advanced Excel and Database skill level

·         Significant knowledge of fixed plant control systems including primary flotation.

·         Familiarity with Portuguese language is beneficial
