Job Description

The HR Business Partner supports the HR Superintendent Operations with people management and related matters for the designated client(s) within Operations and ensures alignment with the business goals.

The HRBP supports the delivery of the HR service to specific client groups within Operations. The role makes a leading contribution towards effective front line service delivery within HR, working directly with managers / superintendents and the HR business services team and other internal or external stakeholders across a range of operational HR activity including employee relations, resource planning, learning and development, communications and making a significant contribution to implementation of wider HR strategies.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as the point of the contact for line management and employees for the operations client, providing timely, accurate and robust advice and daily guidance on the full range of HR issues.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, labour law and where appropriate make recommendations to improve or amend to the HR business service team.
  • In conjunction with the HR business services team, assist with the development of communication strategies / procedures to line management and employees including designing of communication plan, tools, and related resources.
  • Advise line management as appropriate to anticipate any potential concerns in advance of industrial / employee relations matters occurring.
  • Ensure all HR casework is planned and undertaken in a manner, which minimises operational / financial risk, with minimal requirement to escalate matters to senior management and judging when to seek more specialist/legal advice.
  • Analyse HR trends and metrics with line management and identify any emerging gaps or trends and development needs to support effective workforce planning and resource allocation.
  • Promote and communicate the importance of integrated talent / performance management practices and changes in people management practices.
  • Support the HR Superintendent Operations with resource / succession planning for key talent / job positions.
  • In partnership with the Resource and Talent Development Lead advise line management in the implementation of robust recruitment and selection processes and legislative requirements.
  • In conjunction with line management assess / identify training needs for employees.
  • Provide feedback to HR business services team on learning & development programs.
  • Work closely with line management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale and increase productivity.
  • Provide an effective on-boarding program for new employees including sign off of contracts of employment and communication of all compliance documents e.g. Internal Rules and Regulation 

Education and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology / Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • Up to 3 years previous experience within a similar position.
  • Very good French, English and Arabic level both speaking and writing.
  • Intermediate knowledge of software skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and outlook programs.
  • A thorough knowledge of general HR policies / procedures, and Labour Law
  • Excellent people management skills

  • Project management and change management skills
