Location: Round Mountain, Nevada, USA

Round Mountain is an open-pit mine located in Nevada, one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world. The mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods and processes ore by mill and heap leach.

Job Description

Responsible for developing positive relations between RMGC and external stakeholders. Provide additional support and assistance to the CR and/or HR function while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross Values.

Job Responsibilities

  • Attend mine related and community events as needed in order to establish contacts with the organizations and community in order to compile information.
  • Understand positive social impact results and KPI’s for donations.
  • Accurately and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Develop budgets to fit advertising, sponsorships, and donations.
  • Tour coordination.
  • Familiarize and incorporate CSR policies and principles.
  • Guide site towards operating with the site Responsibility Plan.
  • Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
  • Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
  • Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
  • Works without risk or harm to self and others.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by state agency, or must be able to pass driver competency course and exam.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance required.
  • Perform other HR related functions as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience

  • A business, communications or similar degree required, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing programs.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, management, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and able to effectively manage time.
  • Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Corporate Responsibility, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Requires valid Driver’s License.
