Key areas of Responsibility

* Attain expert knowledge of the site scope of works related to the maintenance services for excavators and understand delivery method(s)
* Implement new, and improve current, systems and procedures to manage works in accordance with KPIs, assurance plans and quality standards
* Coach and mentor Maintenance Leads, Coordinators and Administration staff to ensure high achieving personal performance; to also maintain team cohesion and a professional and ethical workplace
* Work as part of the management team to ensure that the specifications are met at all times in maintenance area;
* Management of the spares and consumable supplies for the maintenance team, including critical spares
* Review budget and implement and review cost controls in relevant area
* Assist with repairs and maintenance on site, particularly scoping of highly technical works requiring input from multiple stakeholders
* Develop strong communications skills and processes, via informal and formal meetings; hold regular toolbox meetings and team briefings
* Work to ensure a high level of morale, motivation and retention within the maintenance teams and maintain a workforce culture which reflects FQML values
* Delegate responsibilities and duties as appropriate to other staff members and monitor progress
* Demonstrate an understanding of MPSA environmental policies, procedures & practices and the role's responsibilities as detailed in site specific HSEMP (Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan)
* Any other duties as and when required, provided the employee has the required training/certification/licensing to carry out these duties in a safe manner.This also includes assisting other departments to achieve the required outcome when required

Required Technical Skills, Training & Experience

* Good knowledge of maintenance processes, CMMS systems and achieving targets
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in a maintenance and operations team environment
* Ability to carry out maintenance work of a non-trade nature
* Knowledge of industry best practice for reliability and planning systems
* Experience with using data systems to undertake equipment strategy and life cycle costing;
* Tertiary qualification Certificate in Maintenance Management/ Diploma in Management
* Spanish will be an advantage
