Job Description

This position is a support role to the Mobile Maintenance Department reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Planning Superintendent and working in coordination with mobile planning staff. The primary purpose of the role is to be a liaison between the Planning Department and Supply Chain, as well as provide “Customer Support” to the Mobile Maintenance Work Execution Team. Training will be provided concerning JDE & Maintenance Business Processes.

Job Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to:

  • Receive and stage inventory and direct charge parts for planned repairs daily for servicing, defect repairs and PCR.
  • Receive and arrange storage of direct charge parts daily and update JDE work orders as necessary.
  • Manage rotable components including collection, cataloging and preparation of removed items for initiation of the internal or external repair process.
  • Manage remanufactured parts eligible for core credits.
  • Manage return of unused parts as necessary.
  • Planning administrative tasks including
    • Entering machine hours in JDE
    • Completing time entry in JDE
    • Closing work orders and backlog management
    • Creating work orders as required and creating A2/A3 requisitions
    • Condition monitoring administration
    • Collection of minor/auxiliary plant hours
    • Plant filing
    • Support and cover for maintenance planners during leave etc.

Education and Experience

Mandatory Requirements for this position:

  • Experience in the safe operation of forklifts & light vehicles, including a minimum 12 months incident free record in operation of vehicles if the applicant is already a Tasiast Employee or Tasiast Contractor.
  • Basic English spoken & written; Good to excellent French or Arabic spoken & written.
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office programs.
