Key Accountabilities included are:

* Lead and coordinate all activities related to Commissioning in the designated process areas ensuring timely and safe completion of commissioning plant and ramp up.
* Coordinate and work with Discipline teams, Contractors, Suppliers and other third parties to deliver required work according project objectives, contractual requirements within allotted time frames and budget.
* Ensure proactive and timely assertive and comprehensive work progress reports, identified targets, potential risks and provide potential solutions
* Assist and where necessary prepare documents and attend meetings with stakeholders and authorities to get the necessary permits to execute all activities of commissioning and start up.
* Assist and where necessary prepare commissioning documentation to ensure timely commissioning and completion of the project.
* Define and review commissioning tools, temporary equipment, specialized sub-contracts, spare parts, first fills and consumables, liaise with Procurement Department on all commercial aspects
* Ensure the effective mobilization of manpower/resources to the commissioning and completion teams.
* Prepare documentation and eventually conduct Training of Operations Staff.
* Witnessing, conducting and verifying checks and tests are carried according the commissioning plan and to the required codes and statutes.
* Ensure in daily basis that the paperwork is up-to-date in the Tracking System.
* Ensure that the Commissioning Team including Contractors and Sub-contractors have prepared and completed all the necessary Commissioning documentation.

Professional Qualities

* Degree qualifications in Mining, Process or Metallurgical Engineering or any Electromechanical technical discipline combined with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the mining sector.
* Good process understanding of large Sulphide Plants is esential
* Experience in the various phases of large sulphide mining project implementation more specifically in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
* Experience in Commissioning of Copper/ Moly in Grinding + Flotation, with large SAG 38/40' mills, configurations would be highly valuated:
* Demonstrated skills with the use of specific proprietary software packages relevant to Engineering disciplines.
* Team Player, self-motivated and capable of working with minimum direct supervision and adapting to changing circumstances.

Working Schedule:

* Roster 6 weeks ON /2 weeks OFF;
* Work location - Cobre Panama Project site in Donoso region, Panama
* Accommodation & meals will be provided on site. Shared recreation facilities for project staff are also available on site.
* Commissioning work is performed on a continuous 7 day per week schedule. Off shift coverage will be coordinated with other members of the Commissioning management team.

Languages: Good professional command of English language is required. Spanish is a plus
