his position provides the resource necessary to oversee the UG loader fleet in the underground mines.  The TE UG Loader Maintenance #2 position will be the advisor on maintenance practices and procedures for the underground loader fleet being utilized in the DMLZ, GBC and Big Gossan mine.  This position will be focusing on the equipment maintained and utilized in the lower mining areas.
Additional responsibilities:
1. Assist, oversee, and train mechanics in the proper methods of UG loader maintenance.
2. Assist in the planning and scheduling of maintenance work for all UG loader fleets.
3. Inspect and develop courses of action to maintain the UG loader fleet.
4. Assist in the management of UG loader shops to include safety program, warehousing and personnel issues.
5. Control costs and look for ways to reduce costs for the UG loader fleet.
6. Liaise with the UG loader OEM to ensure equipment is maintained to standards, and issues are resolved.
7. Achieve budgeted costs and availability on loader fleets.
8. Institute programs that advance mechanics knowledge and skills.
9. Handle in-field repairs with assistance of national mechanics.
10. Work with Operations Team to advance operator skill levels through timely feedback.
11. Incorporate continuous improvement programs to lower costs and improve equipment performance.
12. Review and implement changes to the maintenance programs as necessary.
13. Manage a large fleet of equipment in multiple UG mines.
14. Advance the knowledge and skills of the workforce on technically advanced equipment.
15. Control day-to-day activities and coordinating between shifts.
16. Improve machine, maintenance and operator performance.


  • Trade Certificate or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in equipment maintenance with formal training from OEM’s.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of underground maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with Cat UG loaders in a hands-on capacity.
  • Reflects an underlying drive to create safety-working environment and prevent accidents in the surrounding environment.
  • Highly oriented in achieving targets and improving performance; creates own measures of excellence, scrupulous in ensuring accuracy of work.
  • Must be able to see multiple relationships in complex problems.

 Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic level of the Indonesian language in understanding and oral (preferable but not essential).
  • Certificate IV Assessment and Workplace Training is preferred.
