Under general supervision, assist Attorneys and Legal Managers in day-to-day legal operations.  Conduct legal research, monitor proceedings, manage projects, interface with outside counsel and other parties, collaborate with coworkers company-wide, and prepare correspondence and legal documents to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Identify, gather and review information to comply with subpoenas, information requests, investigations, due diligence, discovery and other productions of documents, or to investigate the factual evidence of a transaction, event, proceeding or case; and give presentations and/or prepare reports, summaries, tables, charts or diagrams to display such information
  • Monitor and maintain cybersecurity / cyber fraud internal website
  • Draft Corporate minutes and maintain annual meeting calendar
  • Perform data entry, run reports and help maintain entity management database
  • Maintain Corporate history database; interact with scholars
  • Maintain Power of Attorney database; obtain translations as needed; prepare abstracts of POAs
  • Serve as Notary Public
  • May attend meetings as a representative of Manager
  • Perform other duties as requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Computer Information Systems or History; OR
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • Able to use a variety of computer software, including word processing, database and spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Office Suite), as well as SharePoint
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and consistently focus attention on details
  • Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability and willingness to keep client and department matters confidential
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

  • Position is located in a busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ

  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator and an internal staircase

  • Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
