Provide assistance and expertise in directing and controlling Ore Flow Operations and projects activities to the Ore Flow Operations Management Team in maximizing production within the budget, in a timely, safe and environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
Additional responsibilities:
  1. Promote safety and environmental awareness to all employees in his/her department to minimize accidents and environmental damage.
  2. Provide expertise and support to review, inspect and promote SOP's for safety practices and safety awareness to ensure a safe working environment and eliminate accident damage to personnel and the Ore Flow facility.
  3. Provide expertise and support in directing and controlling the operation of Upper and Lower Ore Flow to optimize ore crushing and transport from the Grasberg and U/G mines to the concentrator stockpiles. Ensure the Ore Flow process runs smoothly and meets production targets set by the company.
  4. Provide expertise and support in directing and controlling Lime Plant and Limestone Crushing Operations, and produce lime that meets the quality and quantity standards set by the Concentrator.
  5. Ensure that Ore Flow meets availability and production targets in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
  6. Implement a process by which properly trained Operators perform thorough mechanical inspections of conveyors and crushers, verified by the supervisor, and findings are entered into the SAP system for repair.
  7. Implement a process by which properly trained Operators perform thorough clean-up inspections of conveyors and crushers, keep all accessible areas clean during the shift, and enter into SAP the clean-up requirements to be done by Operations during a shutdown.  Ensure area assignments are known by all crews.
  8. Ensure Ore Flow short-term projects are aligned with the long-term goals.
  9. Develop initiatives to improve or optimize the Mill production by improving Ore Flow circuits.  Stay abreast of new technology and take advantage of opportunities that improve production, quality, cost, safety and environmental performance.
  10. Provide mentoring in all competencies to develop peers.  Mentor high potential employees to improve employee skill levels.
  11. Provide expertise to assist the Ore Flow Operation in trouble-shooting and finding solutions to problems that impact production.


  • Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Engineering with ten (10) years experience in crushing and conveying systems.
  • Alternatively, fifteen (15) years of operational experience. In-depth and broad knowledge in crushing and conveying technology. Rudimentary knowledge in mining and mineral processing technology.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred experience in Underground Ore Conveyance Operations.
  • Basic level of the Indonesian language in understanding and oral (preferable but not essential).
