Location: Tasiast, Inchiri region, Mauritania

Job Responsibilities

•    Monitor all Tasiast Contractors compliance with Mauritanian regulation
•    Coordinate contacts between Labor Inspectors and Contractors 
•    Report contractor movements to end users and key stakeholders 
•    Report Kinross requirements for contractor alignment to the end users 
•    Ensure Subcontractors adhere to all safety environmental and Mauritanian legal requirements  and company policies 
•    Act as single point of contact for contractors companies and end  user departments for issues related to the contractor’s works on site
•    Advise and assist foreign Contractors in all issues related to Mauritanian regulations
•    Handle Supervise team Creating JDE numbers for Contractors and monitoring movement of employees from department to other and keep JDE well updated 
•    Advise subcontractors on organizational policies matters and recommend needed changes.
•    Provide subcontractors  with information about policies, legal requirements , working conditions and local laws
•    Monitor and approve in K2 all Contractors employees when all regular aspects checked and seen according to Mauritanian regulations and company policies 
•    Report through JDE progress of contractors through their contract period to end users and key stakeholders  

Education and Experience

  • University Degree in Human resources /Law/ Business Administration or equivalent 
  • Formal professional designation in appropriate area of expertise
  • Excellent knowledge of Mauritanian reglementation (Code du travail, convention collective, CGI.)
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic, French and English
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • At least 5 years of related work experience
