Job Description: 
Our client, with drilling operations throughout South Africa, is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager with a strong hydraulics background to join their operations.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Workshop management across various sites, overseeing Fitters and Millwrights.
  • Setting up of new workshops on clients sites.
  • Liaising with client regarding maintenance requirements.
  • Budgeting and cost control.
  • Maximise equipment availability and reliability.
  • Ensure safety, legal and company policies are adhered to.
  • Mentoring and training subordinates.

 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate, Diploma or Degree.
  • Strong hydraulic experience essential.
  • 7 years of experience in the maintenance of drills used in raise bore environments.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management level position.
  • South African citizenship or valid work permit for South Africa.
