Job Description

To perform daily activities relating to the Company’s general Treasury operations, including metal shipments, intercompany metal sales transactions, wire transfers, maintenance of letters of credit, and other similar tasks.  Continuously learn about treasury best practices and contribute to the improvement and design of treasury processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with broker and suppliers in gathering, validating and supplying insurance underwriting, claims and risk data throughout annual renewal cycle for insurance policies from regions and sites.
  • Assist with premium allocation decisions, and monitor and process invoices for the insurance program and related activities (e.g. loss prevention invoices).
  • Collect all insurance policies, and ensure brokers deliver all policies as per the agreed timelines.
  • Maintain documentation and information flow to facilitate the timely and fair handling of all insurance claims
  • Maintain department systems to follow-up on policies/documentation ensuring data is received and reviewed on a timely basis
  • Assist with the proper implementation of insurance programs on all development projects
  • Create, improve, and maintain worksheets used for tracking metal shipments, inventory monitoring, and processes related to intercompany and third party metal sales.
  • Verify invoices received in connection with the metal sales process to ensure they are in accordance with the related agreements.
  • Assist in the opening, closing, and general management of bank accounts (assist banks with KYC requirements, change signatories, etc)
  • Assist in maintenance of Treasury management system (REVAL)
  • Assist with maintaining the various letters of credit and surety bonds that have been issued, to ensure they are renewed on time and that the amounts invoiced are in accordance with the underlying agreements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the quarterly treasury report.
  • Ensure compliance with Treasury’s policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required. 

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor of commerce, finance or economics degree required


  • 2 – 5 years of related work experience
  • Preferably worked within Treasury or Finance


  • Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word
  • Experience with treasury management system (Reval) preferred
  • Ability to deal with deadlines during peak periods
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg considered an asset
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work with others in team environment
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments
  • Knowledge or experience with financial instruments
