Analyze, evaluate and assist in administration of corporate benefit plans and programs, including participation in various projects requiring research analysis, survey completion, rate renewal evaluation and benefit communication coordination. Researches and resolves escalated benefit inquiries, serves as a liaison between vendors and the Benefit Services team. Stay abreast of applicable benefits legislation.

  • Conducts research and analysis of benefit programs, including current benefits, benefit trends and legislation. Participate in surveys, obtain market data and benchmarks to measure and report appropriate metrics.Assist in the coordination of all the benefit programs for both domestic and international employees. 
  • Resolves escalated employee and retiree questions/issues regarding benefit programs to include gathering and preparing the necessary documents for a Second Level Appeal. Coordinate Rx settlement issues with prescription drug vendor
  • Assist in the formation and execution of benefit strategies, new Company initiatives and administration, annual enrollment and all benefits related communications.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with Benefit Services team, HR staff, HR Service Center and business units to identify and respond to their needs in order to support the business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or related field, as applicable to position and three (3) years of experience in a corporate benefits department or benefits administration, and HR processing , OR
  • High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in benefit administration/ implementations, plan design and analysis, employee communications.

  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator and internal staircase
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
