Lead Planner (Operational Readiness)

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain Level 3 project schedules and a Level 4/5 look-ahead, ensuring fully logic linked to engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations.
* Work with the different teams (Construction, Commissioning and Operations) to understand and report on readiness for operations.
* Reporting and tracking area availability, materials availability, equipment requirements, access requirements and labour requirement.
* Ensure progress measurement is collected and reported correctly.
* Analyse schedule variances and support the Operations Team in identifying corrective actions and recovery plans to mitigate delays.
* Support the development of monthly project controls data packs at month end.
* Support the development of operational readiness reports and ensuring accurate data and subsequent analysis is completed.
* Support the Operations team in risk identification, management and cost management.

Qualifications/Experience:

* 10 years' experience in Senior or Lead planning roles
* Good knowledge and relevant experience of project management principles.
* Sound multi-disciplinary knowledge of a large scale construction project of the Mineral Process Plants with Power Station experience an advantage.
* Strong analytical and communications skills
* Report writing skills
* Experience working abroad in a multi-cultural environment
