Manages the preparation and distribution of the organization's hourly and salaried payrolls, including inpatriate and expatriate payrolls, for multiple domestic and global locations. Oversees the maintenance of earnings and deduction records, works with outsource vendors, and manages internal teams. Ensures that all taxes, Social Security contributions, contributions to employee benefit programs, garnishments and other deductions are maintained.

  • Manage all payroll functions, including the supervision of employees (in multiple locations), contractors and outsource vendors
  • Direct the preparation and filing of required reports and/or payments to government agencies, insurance carriers, other organizations and individual employees
  • Manage/Direct quarterly and annual payroll tax reporting
  • Create analysis reports, including labor accruals and month end reports
  • Collaborate with Payroll teams and other stakeholders to standardize, streamline and integrate payroll processes
  • Produce payroll metrics and identify improvement and training opportunities
  • Build relationships with executive stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of payroll services
  • Manage the relationships between Payroll, Time & Labor, Human Resources and the user community
  • Manage the creation and export of payroll general ledger and labor distribution transactions from SAP
  • Oversee reconciliation of payroll accounts
  • Test and troubleshoot system issues, and communicate status/resolution
  • Perform other duties as requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field and ten (10) years working in Payroll which includes five (5) years of Payroll Supervisory experience, OR
  • High School diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years working in Payroll which includes five (5) years of Payroll Supervisory experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification



  • Expert knowledge of SAP Payroll and knowledge of the interaction with Time & Labor systems
  • Experience with setup and maintenance of security related to payroll in SAP systems
  • Knowledge of labor costing and distribution as it applies to SAP General Ledger transactions
  • Knowledge of labor accruals and the support of month end tasks
  • Thorough knowledge of United States Payroll and Tax laws
  • Experience with Payroll and Tax laws for other countries
  • Working knowledge of general Accounting
  • Experience with systems conversions, implementations and applications support
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Periodic (monthly) travel to New Orleans


  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Work is mainly performed in an office setting
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator and internal staircase
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
