Job Description

Working with the Planning Superintendent lead the Mobile Maintenance team (MEM) in process improvement activities:

Job Responsibilities

The duties of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Development and ongoing maintenance of Mobile Maintenance Management Plan (MMMP) and associated standards and procedures.(Mapped to Kinross Way for Maintenance)
  • Development and ongoing maintenance of a MEM home page on Kinross Connected (document management)
  • Development and ongoing maintenance of mobile equipment service sheets.
  • Measure and report Tasiast Maintenance KPI (All departments) and assist in developing relevant KPI’s and targets specific to the MEM department and lead the team in achieving these KPI’s
  • Development and ongoing Maintenance of MEM Reliability program aligned with Kinross way for Reliability
  • Develop a continuous improvement ethos & awareness of evolving practice and innovation in relation to the maintenance of mobile equipment
  • Train and development of maintenance staff in the effective use of CMMS (JDE)
  • Share knowledge and develop the mobile plant supervisor team to successfully complete projects following the Plan-Do-Check-Adjust process and best practice
  • Oversee the plant modification process following site and company standards and procedures
  • Lead department CI initiatives and equipment improvement initiatives, ensuring process follows proper change management processes
  • Actively participate in incident investigations (in particular Process losses) applying their knowledge and skills as an intuitive problem solver
  • Involvement in periodic budget reviews to assess and reforecast the impact of external influences and changing market conditions Minimum qualification & Skills requirements

Education and Experience

  • BSc degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a  similar position
  • Previous experience in a mining industry is an asset
